True Redemption

Someone, somewhere, is bogged down with feelings of guilt, shame and confusion. Each day, many broken souls cry out unmeasurably to be heard and mended, to be saved from hell and destruction.  Truly only God can do anything to fix what is broken, and its through one life-changing process: redemption.

"But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord"
- Jeremiah 30:17 (NIV)

It's important to look at the story behind the scripture when referring to it as well. For a summary of the back story of this scripture, click here.

True redemption is responsible for the feeling that most Christians felt when they first accepted Jesus into their lives. The warm, heart-felt embrace of the love of Jesus surrounds us; the air is light, clean and fresh; you feel reborn. This is because you were no longer slaved to sin. You became liberated by the power of Christ. You have been redeemed.

Redemption- though it really only happens once- can be presented to you everyday through the Word of God. As we grow and develop in our faith, we will forever be learning. When we learn more about God, His ways become more known to us, and we can slowly shed more of the ideals that the world is placing on us, and live the life God intended us to live. Each day, His word makes all things new. We start to dwell in our salvation.

One of the endless amount of good things about God is that He gives us more than what we initially seek for when we turn to Him. This cause a change of heart and mind, and a more fulfilled feeling for all of us, and we are "strong, frim and steadfast" as the apostle Peter puts it. (1 Peter 5:10).

God sent His only son Jesus on this earth to save you and I. I encourage you to try Jesus, get to know Him through His word. No matter the situation, He hears your cries. He loves you when no one seems to. He can redeem you today if you would confess that He is lord over your life, and  believe in Him!  Talk to Him. Ask Him to restore you, and to receive you into His kingdom. Call Him: Redeemer.

God bless you.

I know what you're thinking, "I am my own person. I decide who I want to be". But have you ever noticed that somethings you had specific views about in a friendship change after a few months? Or that you pick ...

How deep is your faith?

Faith is often defined as "complete trust or confidence in someone or something". It might not seem like it, but we often exercise our faith more than you think.  Let me give you some examples: we sit on chairs with the belief that they aren't going to break; we willingly eat at a restaurant trusting someone didn't poison our food and we trust that our cars actually turn on when we hop in them. Although these things seen insignificant, we often do not think twice in our daily routines. You just get that 'gut' feeling that everything is going to be alright. This is how God expects us to act with His promises.  My mind goes on the story of the 'woman with the issue of blood'.   She spent all she had on doctors who tried to make her feel well. But after 12 years of the condition, she couldn't take it anymore. The amazing thing about this story is that she only heard about Jesus, and decided if that she could only touch the hem of His garment...
